Narrow Band Imaging

The most advanced model of our Gastroscopy functions with the AFI technique. After excitation by a short-wave length light source, the fluorophores emit light of longer wavelengths (fluorescence). The overall fluorescence emission differs among various tissue types and these color differences in fluorescence give a clear distinction to help detecting the pathological changes in the gastrointestinal tract. While the improved NBI technology offers twice the viewable distance than the previous one, projecting a more clear-cut observation for any lesion with abnormal blood vessels and mucosa.

With the application of NBI technology, images of the gastrointestinal tract turn from pink to gray. Polyps and cell variation can now be captured more easily.
