Endoscopic CO2 Regulation Unit

Using the CO2 Regulation Unit can reduce patient’s discomfort during and after the endoscopic procedures. During the endoscopy process, a small amount of air will be insufflated to visualize the gastrointestinal images but the remaining air may lead to slight abdominal distension. While carbon dioxide(CO2) is about 150 times faster than conventional air, 25 times more soluble than room air by blood and tissue, CO2 is absorbed by the colon and excreted through the lungs in just 30-60 minutes, result in less bloating, cramping, intracolonic gas for patients. CO2's rapid absorption properties keep abdominal distension and related pain to a minimum during and after the procedure aiding in a faster recovery.
