ResuscitationAfter surgeries or procedures requiring anaesthesia, patients will be moved to the recovery area as they wake up from sedation. During this time, they will be accompanied by our medical staff and closely observed via centralized vital sign monitoring equipment. Our recovery area is certified for resuscitation and is fully outfitted with required life-saving equipment, including endoscopic guided intubation facilities, ventilator, oxygen generating machine, devices to assist with respiratory function, medical vacuum, intravenous therapy, CPR Board, defibrillator with temporary pacing, CVP and arterial line monitoring. All our medical staff receive regular resuscitation training to ensure patients get the help they need in case of emergencies. |

Emergency SupportOur centre holds two sessions of resuscitation training and emergency drills every year. We have full-time Anaesthesiologists and medical staff with international resuscitation certification. As of April 2023, 86 colleagues have obtained the certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS), and 25 have been certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Patient safety is our top priority and we are fully prepared to treat emergency medical conditions efficiently when the need arises.
|
Our centre has an emergency communication system between staff, as well as designated areas for patients to stay alone that are equipped with a patient-to-staff emergency call system or nurse call system. When a patient needs assistance or is in an emergency situation, they can use the call system or device to send a distress signal to the medical team, allowing the medical team to immediately receive the notification and respond. |
Emergency PowerOur centre is equipped with an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system that meets the HTM06-Electrical service supply and distribution standard. This ensures that the core medical area has emergency power supply even in the event of a failure in the main power source. |
